Cool find!

So I found a retractable under the hood light that apparently came out of a GM in my father in laws shop.
Hooked this baby up and I'll be damned if its not the most useful underhood light I've ever seen. I didn't know anything like this was ever created!! Why did they stop???

I'm still trying to think of a permanent location and am now taking suggestions. And if up my A$$ is at the top of your list, my wife beat ya to it... apparently I didn't need another excuse to add to the Jeep

Found one on Ebay if you like the idea. You pull out the light then wind it back up like you're fishin

every time I goto the junk yards I look for one. I think silverados, suburbans, and gmc counterparts during the 90's had em. Most junkyard lights like that are under 5 bucks, but they get picked clean real quick. They are magnetic also I think.

I still have the one that came out of my 88 silverado. It is a handy little light that has enough cord to reach the rear tire and the lamp had a magnet on the back which was great for changing tires.
