Coolant Flushing Question?

My coolant was pretty grimmy looking so when I had it at the shop I ask my mechanic about flushing the system out and he said it wasn't the worst he'd seen but it was dark. I don't know if this has ever been done on my 98 so I told him to go ahead. My mechanic is very good and reliable and it was my call to go forward.

My question is..... this was 3 days ago and when I picked it up and ever since I noticed that my jeep now idles at one notch below 1,000 rpms and before it idled at 1,000 rpms. The oil pressure seems to be better too now. Is this a result of the coolant flush? Its not bad in anyway just curious if flushing the system help with the idle and oil pressure.
