Cooling System Upgrade

Hello.

I want to install a Flowcooler Waterpump and a Robertshaw High-Flow Thermostat.
Which Thermostat do I need? 160, 180 or 195 degrees? At which temperature does my stock thermostat work?

Thanks in advance.

You need to remain with a 195 degree thermostat to keep the computer happy. I personally would not waste my $$$ on a Flowcooler water pump, especially after having read of some problems getting them installed due to some strange clearance problems.

A friend has this waterpump and his temperature dropped about 25 degrees at idle-

What kind of clearance problems do you mean?

If it dropped 25 degrees at idle, he has the wrong thermostat installed.

yes he has a 180F thermostat in his YJ.

now in the winter @ 30F i donīt need the e-fan. the temperature is always below 210 degrees. i want the same in the summer. thatīs why i want to install such a waterpunp.

when i stand still at idle itīs about 210F hot. when i stand still with 1500-200 rpm itīs cooler and only 195F hot. that shows me that my idle temperature would drop with a better waterpump.

I called flowkooler and they said that the waterpump # 1750 fits in all 2000-2006 Jeep 4.0L engines.
