couple lift/tire questions

After christmas when a few extra dollars roll my way im going to be putting a 2" RE BB on with either 31 or 32 inch tires. I have 3 questions...

One are the monotube shocks worth the extra 120 over twin tubes? What exactly are the differences between the two?

Two i have steel 15x7's on my jeep now, would i need to buy 15x8 wheels to fit 32x11.5's?

And three i'm seriously considering BFG mud terrains, i have bfg at's right now and they're great but i like the look of the mt's alot better and at times i could definitely use the extra traction. Are they really that bad in the snow? I would like to hear from someone who runs them for an opinon

yes the monotubes are worth it. the difference is that the twin tubes are crap.

you would need new wheels unless you run wheel spacers. 3.75" or 4" backspacing is good. and yes 15x8 if you get new wheels

i have BFG MT's and ran them in the snow last year and they did fine. Last year there was a part of the road that was dry from where tires had driven and i would put my tires in the ridge of snow in the middle and it jerked a little but nothing big. (of course if the road is all snow this won't happen.) when it was solid snow, they did fine

on snow and ice there is a big difference between the BFG ATs and MTs.

i will be abel to tell you in a month or two so if you're waiting until after christmas i will try to update you
as for the others, you can run 7 in wheels but you will need to buy spacers, so you might as well buy new 8 inch wide wheels with the proper backspacing

yeah i really want to buy new wheels but by the time im done with the whole thing that would probably run me around 1500 with new wheels, tires, and a lift, and right now my limit is around 1000....and i know there is a difference between the at's and the mt's in the snow but some people make unsiped mt's out to be virtually un-driveable in the snow...i gotta wonder if they've even driven in snow sometimes...i mean i live in new hampshire so snow doesnt bother me in the least bit, if theres 2 feet of snow on the roads that doesnt deter me from driving at all....so bottom line are the bfg mt's REALLY that bad in the snow or do people exagerate a little bit?
