1. Bought my 06 with a 3" bl the PO had installed, with the intention of removing it as soon as I saved up the money for a suspension lift. The question is if I pull the bl can I cut them down to 1.25" with a band saw and just buy new grade 8 bolts to fit? Would that compromise the integrity of the bl, or should I just quit being a cheap a$$ and buy a brand new 1.25" bl?
2. I found a deal on skyjacker 4" lift with quick disconnects included, and the guy also said he would sell me a set of 5 35" general grabber tires at about 400 dollars cheaper than usual. The question is could I run 35" tires on stock axles for a couple of months while I saved up money for my ford 8.8 and lockers? I realize that to run 35's I should upgrade my axles but just wondering if I could get away with running them for a little while while saving up money. I am running 33's right now but would probably need to sell them to help offset some of the cost for the 35's. Also my rig is not a dd, me and the wife usual drive it on the weekends and on some short trips. Also I wouldn't want to regear since planning on upgrading axle in a couple of months, and the guy said that I should be okay since it's a 6 speed manual. Thanks in advance for any advice and thoughts
