Cragar Soft 8 Question

I ordered a soft 8 a while back for my spare and I am looking to buy the rest of them soon and I was looking on discounttiredirect.com (that's where I bought my other wheel). They had the same wheel, 15x8 but one had -12 offset and the other had 6 offset. I don't remember which one i got before... What is the difference of these two offsets and which one should I get?

Measure the wheel you already have to be sure.

You'll have to convert from mm's to inches.

Just to throw it out there, try Summit Racing. Cragar brand for $44 each. Shipping ran me like $13 for a set of 4 and all the accessories.

4" is all Summit carries in the 5 on 4.5. That's about the most amount of BS you want. 3.5-4 is your target range.

That's the back spacing. The offset is usually in millimeters I'm pretty sure

But the offset is the face of the rim, right?

I'm pretty sure that the offset is the distance between the centerline if the wheel and the mounting surface. So I think the more positive offset, the farther the wheel sticks out... I guess. Can you confirm this for me?

Quadratec has a really good price on soft 8's too but make sure you don't buy directly from them. Search for the wheel in google shopping and buy it that way. Gets you free shipping

I had issues with discount tire direct when I tried to deal with them. They show soft 8's on their website (at $80 each) but when you call them they say they don't have them and will have to call cragar and verify availability and then check summit for a price match and see if they can get close. But I work 5 days a week and they seem to not be able to do anything on saturdays when they are open. Then I had a couple reps tell me they couldn't even order them...That's why I went with Quadratec, talked to 4 reps at discount tire and got the run around every time. Even had a guy give me a different number to call on monday and talk to another guy and he would be able to do it...so I called on my way to work and he had no idea what I was talking about.

I completely agree! Cheap and fast shipping (like within a week) and if they're out of stock they'll tell you before you can order them. I bought mine from them and the only niggle was that one of the center caps had a small dent in it from the factory (the box it came in was perfect) but for 8 or 10 bucks it wasn't even worth complaining about so it went on the spare. They had the best price with shipping I could find.

What size did you get? The 15x8 are 52 and some change a piece. And how did you get them at 44 a piece?? I want that

I'm also curious how you got the 44/wheel price. Which item number did you order? Did you need a coupon code or anything? I just got off the phone with Summit and they tell me that their 3975812 wheel is $52.95 plus $12.95 for shipping/handling.
