Current or Ex Military Jeepers

Just wondering how many current or ex military people are into jeeping.
When did you serve and what do you drive?

I have two sons in the military and they drive a 2004 unlimited and a 1980 CJ7.

I'm joining the coast guard in January and I've drive a 2003 jeep sahara. My dad is a retired chief and he's got a 2006 unlimited. My brother drives a 2005 rubicon but he's lazy and won't join the military.

First, I hope that your sons, and all other members on active duty remain safe and I would like to extend my thanks for their service.

My wife and I are both prior service Army, 1980 - 84. We have a 2001 Cherokee and a 2004 TJ. We recently sold our '46 CJ2A ... too big a project for us.

Thank you, my oldest son is in route from Afghanistan to Germany now for the birth of his son. His first and my first grand child.
All who have served are owed a debt that cannot be repaid.

I spent 12 years with the Wisconsin Army National Guard. Military Police. When I got in we had 1/4 ton Jeeps and then they got replaced by Hummers. Talk about a size difference.

USN Corpsman 92-96 didn't go anywhere fun. Got my first Keep then though 73 CJ-5 on 33's had spring packs about 8 inches thick. Rode like a tank.

I'm in the Coast Guard and currently deployed overseas. I drive a 09 2dr sahara and can't wait to get back to Texas and take it out. I had the chance to drive it on leave and I couldn't have been happier.

US Army !966 - !968, Light Vehicle Driver, Fort Hood TX., everything from 1/4 ton Jeep to 5 ton cattle truck (troop transport). Most fun was taking jeeps offroading. Now driving 2005 Rubi offroad (still a lot of fun).
