D44 axles

Will a D44 from a Grand Cherokee bolt to a 99 TJ?

No John, they mount differently and it won't bolt up... not even close. The bigger reason not to use a Dana 44 from a JGC is instead of a cast iron pumpkin like is usual, the Grand Cherokee Dana 44 uses an aluminum pumpkin which is weak. You don't want to use one of those which is known as a Dana 44a where the 'a' stands for aluminum.
