D60's!!!

I'm looking to upgrade my axles on my 04 TJ and I was crusing Craigslist and found a guy selling his 95 YJ that's set up with d60's and 5.38 gears. It's been up for a while and I was thinking of offering him X amount for his axles. I don't know much about axles so would it even be possible for me to put them on my TJ? If so how much should I offer?

I would be really surprised if he sell just the axles. What is he going to do with an axleless Jeep? My guess is you are going to have to buy the whole thing if you want them...but weirder things have happened.

Diff drops are the same on TJs and YJs, but the bracketry is completely different since its leaf spring vs coil spring. If you have the welding skills or know someone with them, its possible that they can be swapped over.

Due to the existence of this thread alone, it's probably over your head. There are about a million things you're not taking into consideration.

Lock yourself in a room for a couple months, learn some stuff from those links above, then come out and go get some axles and get to work.
