Dana 35 axle shafts.... what fits?

Just curious on what years the axle shafts for a Dana 35 will drop into my 04 Dana 35.... having a tough time finding answers.... thanks

If you have a breakdown of the years/ splines... thanks

Any Wrangler Dana 35c axle shaft from '91 or '92 to '06 will fit. Before that, they were non-c-clip designs. The two sides have slightly different lengths so make sure you get them in the right sides.

Should be all TJ years, but others will need to chime in. When I have questions like this a lot of time I look up the part I am in need of and the website will almost always tell you the compatible years. Only one manufacturer that I could find has a drop in chromolly axle shaft, Alloy USA. I have a set of stock axle shafts I pulled out when I put the chromolly ones in.

Thanks for the input guys.... The problem I have is that I have a Dana 35 97-06 Dana 35 with no shafts. Not sure what shafts I am supoosed to have in it at this point. I have seen at least 2 different shaft lengths for both pass and driver side... so how do I know which is the right size? I don't want to waste money on the wrong stuff... and when I say that, I mean I am not buying new parts, but used... so I need to know BEFORE I get something.

Im piecing it together... 97-06 Dana 35 housing...I have an LSD carrier and 4.56's from another 97-06 Dana 35.... so now I need the shafts... sigh.... any way to tell what I need with what I got?

One shaft is about 3/4" shorter than the other one and I think it is the driver's side that is shorter. I would go measure them in the garage, but I am on the East coast for the holiday. I am sure someone has them in their garage that could go and measure them. If not PM me and I will answer the question mid next week. As soon as I pulled the shafts I dremeled them to know which side is which.

Those lengths are correct as I just measured my stock shafts. Why they have different part numbers I am not sure.
