Dang Bestop.. sending me a lockbox that doesn't fit.

I know for a fact I'm not the only guy with this problem. Ok so this Christmas I got a Bestop lockbox that goes under the front seat... APPARENTLY it doesn't fit "flip and fold" seat designs... of course I find out after about 30 minutes of sweating trying to pull the seat off and going crazy because the dang lever got in the way. Who else has this problem, and what lock box did you go with? I can't find a lockbox that fits my seat design on bestop's website...

Don't worry... a lot of us had trouble with it fitting even without the flip and fold seat.

Here's what I went with...fits great under the driver's seat and doesn't rattle around even with my carpet out.

Well wah-duh-ya-know! that's a really cool box, and I would never have thought to look anywhere other than JCWhitney and Quadratec haha. Thanks a lot man.

I just installed a tuffy box in my 2001 TJ (flip/folding seat) about an hour ago and it works great.

Ageless had the same box and the same problem. Bestop took it back, no questions asked, iirc. The one Sentenced has looks like a good one...

4wd took mine back too with full refund and also covered return shipping (sent me a return label so all I had to do was drop the box off at UPS with the label attached)...took bout a week to get my refund. The box I bought was strongly recommended by my CCW course instructors...ranging from city cops to an FBI agent...when storing a gun in the vehicle or even while traveling (attach it to something solid under the sink/bed/etc in your hotel room and keep your valuables in it). I expressed my concern with how thin the cable appears to be and how easy it looks to snip...they just laughed and said, "That's aircraft cable...good luck. It's stronger than you think." I still think my bolt cutters at work could take care of it...but I also don't see a criminal lugging those beasts around in his pocket either...lol
