Dash access

I dropped the blank from the empty switch cut out near the rear washer switch behind the dash. It got punched through. I felt around and couldn't get my hand up under the dash there to retrieve it. Since it was just a hole cover I left it. Now, while installing some driving lights, I dropped the switch to my KC lights through that same dern hole and can't get it out. I've pulled the glove box and the dash cover under the steering column, but still no access. Before I start pulling the whole dash apart I was wondering if anyone has had same experience and how that got up in there.

Yep. You need to pop the top dash insert off. It's held with spring clips, grab a corner and lift and it will pop off. There are two screws then accessible to take out for the center dash section. Pop out the ash tray and you'll find one more screw to remove.

The rest of the center dash is held with more spring clips, take your time and pop the center off.

There's your switch panel, 4 screws hold it to the dash. Remove em, and you'll be able to pull the panel out and find your missing stuff.

Should take at most 5 minutes to get to the buggers.
