Dash board lights - blue

I finally installed the blue lights in my instrament cluster. The whole thing took me 15 min, thanks to the help from everyone on this board that chimed in with good info!! I used the CHEAP regular bulbs. I wanted to see how they would fare up. I love them! They look great. To some they might want them a tad bit brighter. But for me there perfect. I guess the led's are a bit brighter. I just couldn't seem to spend the $$ for all the bulbs i wanted. Sorry for the bad pic's my camera is a pain to take pic's with without a flash. Blacktoothgrin-i'll try to find the magazine i saw those tails in for ya.

The only thing left to do is the automatic trans. I found that bulb at the local auto discout. Will do that next week.

Dave,

Those look freak'n sweet man, good going!
Going by the pictures, they look to be the exact same shade
of Blue as my LED's. And I doubt my LED's are much brighter at all.

It's really cool that you did this with the incandescent bulbs.
I've heard that the LED's that I have in all my stuff have burnt
out on other users within like 6 months or so. If that is true,
it's great to know that the indicants will look just as good,
and may possibly last longer.

Would you mind posting all the part #'s for everyone,
so we have a good reference?

Once again, looks great man!

These are the bulbs i ordered from the site you gave me. I have a 2000 sahara, I did the five dash lights/ the highbeam light indicator/ and the air cond. fan speed and temp. control bulbs. Like i said earlier, the whole thing took me 15-20 min. max. The dash board has 11-screws, the air cond. cluster has 5-screw all together.

Mines a 2004. I've never really thought about changing the dash lights. I'll have to add that to my list of projects to do.

I am going to go this rout next time. I bought a glow gauge, and it went on horribly messy. I should have just gotten bulbs. But I need to buy a new cluster first. Oh well mine will work for now.
