Dash Earth

Hi Guys,

Just putting my dash beck on after changing my evaporator core. Amazingly I didn't end up with any screws left over. However does anyone know where the earth lead that's located behind the instrument cluster (bolted to the dash frame) is supposed to connect?

From a quick scan of the service manual I can't find any reference to it. Cheers!

I don't know the specific location, but it should be able to be mounted to and metal surface that provides a good ground. Under a body screw, etc.

"Earth lead" Ah, the british are in town. Speaking as an American, the worst eletrical job I ever did was on a 72 MG...I was like "earth", what's that mean??

To answer the question, if you can't find the original, if you have the wire, anywhere it will reach will do. Just fasten it to the body and all should be well.
