Dead Donkey Build

heres what i got so far
It started as a wrecked 99 tj sahara

We the took the body off to replace the mangled frame

Then we put the body on the new frame with just the axles and wheels

We then straightened the the cowl and firewall with my dads winch

then we took the body off again and put the drivetrain in

then put the body on and got to drive it for the first time

before the body work

today i finally got the rear tailgate smooth. got one spot left where the bondo cracked and if i can get that done and get the go ahead to use the garage might have it painted in the next two weeks but its a long shot.

got rid of all the tire mount holes and license plate holes and new ones drilled

with license plate where its going to mount

wow my arm is tired
this is how my jeep sits now ill post up more as i get it paint. i have a dana 44rear coming for it now and am planning on full corner guards for the rear. hope yall enjoy all the pics i know theres alot but come on who doesnt like pics.

well got it right before i turned 15 i bought most of it my parent helped me alittle with the cost and they drove me to ga to get it. iv tryed to do most the work myself my dad helped pull the body and the first bondo job. iv learned from watching him and the latest stuff with tailgate has all been me. iv learned alot from my dad allowing me to most of this. i also work part time at a offroad shop that is in my sig. that i have learned alot at and also perfecting some of the stuff i could already do. also i learn more about things. i just turned 17 last jan. im trying to get it to where i want it before i graduate so all my income can go to my jeep.

amazing work.

is it possible to ride fenderless? even taking off the metal panel...
i think it looks badass like that, just wondering if its not recomended? plus, tube fenders are pricey

Slippy, problem with fenderless.. you have no protection at all that way so your tires will be the first thing to take the hit and if its tall enough then the hood will be the next hit point. Also with out any fenders it will throw stuff all over the place and although you might find this fun in a mud pit, its not as fun when the side of ur jeep gets scratched up because of little rocks flying up from the tires.

Some counties might have problem with that too.

you would have to relocate everything on the inner fender too and you would be able to see the engine from the side

you could run with out fenders but wouldnt suggust it. the fenders i got you have to weld together and they werent horribly exspensive.
