I've got an 05 TJ with just over 60K miles on it, and at the dealership for the service they recommended a fuel system cleaning ever 30K miles saying that it would improve performance and remove carbon buildup. I'm looking to do more of the services myself to save money, but I'm a newb with tools so I thought I'd let the pros handle the t-case and diffs this time.
This seems to be slightly bogus to me, but for the more knowledgeable folks on the list, what exactly is it the dealership does for this service? Is it simply a fuel additive like injector cleaner? Are they cleaning the AIC or throttle body?
