Death Wobble only in 2wd

Hey guys, I'm taking my jeep into a dealer next week but was hoping for some help before I got there. My jeep has bad death wobble at 45mph but it will only do it if I'm in 2wd, 4wd it's non-existent. I thought I had it fixed last year after I replaced the steering gear box but that only helped for about 2 months. It's back now but I've noticed that it won't wobble if it's in 4wd. Can anyone help explain this?

1) The dealer won't do anything for you in regards to DW. They know as much as you do unless you run into an uncommonly bright individual.

2) Quit driving in 4wd on pavement.

3) You're likely seeing the discrepancy between 2 and 4wd due to the fact that the front axle is being torqued/wrapped when power is applied. Something is loose and allowing the wobble but when the axle is loaded up against the bushing limits, that play is no longer a factor.

Find the problem and fix it with some logical analysis. No need to go to the dealer since all they'll do is recommend replacing the steering stabilizer and charge you $180 to do so.
