Design my first 2.5 - 3" Lift

Hello, just sold the YJ and picked up a TJ so curious if you could do it all over again which set up would you go for a small 2.5-3 inch lift?

I've been looking at the Rough Country set which seems to cover everything but told to switch out the shocks and go with something better?

Rough Country 2.5" Suspension Lift Kit with Performance 2.2 Series Shocks
Rough Country 2.5" Suspension Lift Kit with Performance 2.2 Series Shocks - RC-P652

Any other brands that you'd recommend for just springs only & order the shocks else where? I'd also prefer to not drop the Transfer Case but realize thats on a case by case basis.

Much appreciated in advance
Joe

Budget is roughly $400-$500 give or take

If I were to do it all over I'd go savvy/currie 3" coils and CAs, and bilstein 7100s.

The first time around I ran RC 2.5 coils Currie arms, and fox 2.0s and loved that setup.

Piece everything else little by little.

Maybe a stupid question but what benefit would upgraded arms give me over stock on a small 2-3" lift? Or is it the current arms are maxed at >= 2 inches?

Stock are just fine for the size in question.
