Exclamation DiabloSport InTune for late model TJ/LJ

Anyone here have experience with the DiabloSport InTune for the 2005-2006 4.0L Wranglers?

I'm wondering if it actually has a good "canned" tune, what adjustments I can make, and if it can take a custom tune.

Need it for a turbo kit I want to put together for the LJ Rubicon, and I'm new to domestic vehicle tuning. Don't really feel like making a harness and running a stand-alone, yet.

What about just the Predator? No one tunes or mods the motor here?

I've tuned my jeep and played around with it, but I'm a diablo dealer so I have to try this stuff. I do mostly ford and dodge with diablo. I have not yet put it on the dyno, but I expect minimal gains. There are a few things that can improve power like changing the power enrichment delay from 14 seconds to 0.5 seconds. Before I got into the tuning the jeep I couldn't figure out why my jeep seemed to run closed loop on the dyno, but it was really that the PE didn't kick in during the pulls. I couldn't get the speedo adjusted as they claim they can do. There were some other guys that said that they had issues too. Diablo said they need a 05-06 rubicon in florida to do more testing with, so I don't expect anything to happen soon. I plan on tuning mine once I add some sort of forced induction, but that might be at least a year out because we are planning a second story addition that cost $$$. I am in the process of collecting sufficient MPG data to see if I can make any improvements in that area. Right off the bat I think that changing the requirements to enter CFSO will add some mpg, but I won't know for many months while I get a really good baseline with my new tires and wheels. The parameters that diablo provides for this engine are fairly minimal compared to what I'm used to on the fords.

Damn. So you have not used the new InTune yet? I don't really want to have to run a stand-alone yet. Any other full featured flash programmers or piggy-backs available for this thing?

Running the 93 Tune, didn't really Feel a Difference going from Stock to it, but I know if I Load the Stock Tune back In, I'll Feel a Difference.

The intune is just a cooler flash device. The tuning is the exact same done with the diablo CMR software. There is no reason to run a stand alone on the 05 and 06 jeeps when you can properly custom tune them with 2 bar map sensors, injectors, etc, needed for FI.

So what I'm really looking for is the CMR software, right? It has the ability to scale for different MAP sensors and do injector timing/latency/flow/duty cycle?

It depends on how deep you want to get into tuning. CMR was around $3000 for me. I dont think they have a single code version.
