Exclamation Differential leak and shaft noise

Just noticed my rear diff is leaking on both sides. It is leaking where the drive shaft enters and around and above the plug. Also my jeep drive shaft seems to be making a squeaking noise as I coast to a stop in neutral and does it at higher rpms. It gets quieter as I decrease speed. Is the leakage the cause of this or does anyone have any solutions on what I should do? Thanks a lot. The sound is driving me insane.

I do not know about the front yet, god I hope the front of mine is not leaking. I have noticed the rear of my Diff leaking so today I went to Pep Boys and bought the gasket for less then $4.00. It does not look that hard to replace the rear gasket. I think it is only ten bolts, insert new gasket, fill with proper fluid and done.

My house and my Jeep are protected by god herself, and my gun. Mess around with either and meet both

looks like its too full, its only supposed to go up to the bottom of the fill plug, mine leaks slightly out the back but i just keep an eye on the level of fluid. As for the seal you have to take the whole thing apart, i haven't had the time for it yet.

Bumpin' an old thread! My drive shaft looks just like this pic. It seemed it was leaking all over before so I recently replaced the seal and plug on the differential and that side looks great. However it's definitely leaking where the shaft is. Anyone have any advice?
