Dilemma - Swapping out D30/35 w/ 3.07 for 3.73

So I met this guy who sells Jeep parts (kind of a longer story, but its irrelevant)

I have the stock D30 and 35 with 3.07s currently with 31's. 66k miles on the axles. He has a 30/35 with 3.73's with abt 147k miles, good condition. He'd give them both to me for $400 and give me $100 for my current axles. So basically it'd cost me $300 to upgrade from 3.07s to 3.73s. I'm considering running 33's soonish, but I'm a poor college student and can't afford to upgrade the axles yet. i.e 8.8 or D44. I'm thinking maybe I can do this swap, then wait a few years and swap in 1 tons. Also, the 35 I have now needs new shoes and pinion seal, so doing that on the other axles isn't a factor, since I need to do it anyways.

SO basically my question is, should I make the trade?

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

The 3.73 will be a good move with the 31s but when I go to the 33s u will be back where u started. If you are happy with the power and gas mileage now. U will be fine with the 3.73 and 33s

Yeah that's sorta what I figured. My Jeep is my DD, and on the highway I can go like 70 in 6th gear at <2k rpms. So it is nice. I was originally thinking of swapping in axles from a 4 banger with 4.11's, but I was only seeing them on CL for like $500 EACH. WHich is absurd... Basically, I can't afford to spend a lot right now, so I feel like this would be a good cheap upgrade, esp when I go to 33s
