the contacts wear out pretty good on that switch...

do you get the blue indicator on the dash saying they are on?

hummm....your headlights are on a pull/push switch down on the dash right, not up on the lever on the steering wheel?

Same problem on my 97 (push pull) replaced it. ($39) at auto-zone.

I just looked at a diagram for a 99, which is the same as a 2000. if you have the push/pull headlights switch to turn them on and the lever to go from low to high up on the steering wheel (in 2001 all controls went to the lever on the steering wheel). If the high beams indicator comes on you should have power to the high beams. can you pull the lever back for flashing them? (or push forward, either way)

how about locking the high beams on and wiggling the push/pull switch...anything

and now for the dumb one...are the high beams burnt out?

Yes I have a knob you pull it out to turn on the headlights. The brights and turn signals are on the lever that is mounted to the steering wheel.

I needed a new switch also because mine would just blink out from time to time, but a wiggle would fix it...

not sure why its high beam only though...but switches are 99% of what is wrong most of the time. wires almost never go bad...

So the light switch it self could be the issue?

its either the push/pull switch or the lever switch...but since you are getting the indicator light its (the lever) switching to the high beam side of the circuit..so I'd bet its the the push/pull

both are easy to swap out. and you can actually get a lever from a 95-99 dodge neon (same exact factory lever...exact plug-in swap) from a junk yard if you are a junk yard going to type...or both can be had at rockauto.com, a local store might carry them also,

you are lookin for the headlamp switch and/or the multi-function switch if you goto rockauto.com
