Direct Engine Swap?

I have a 2000 TJ that needs a new block cause it's got a pinhole that leaks coolant. I know the donor engine needs to be from a 2000-2004 wrangler but I also see where Grand Cherokee engines can be swapped. I found a 2000 Grand Cherokee...can anyone confirm this engine will swap into my TJ without mods?

Where is the pinhole leak? I can't imagine changing the block for a small leak and I can't think of where it would be leaking on the block. If you have a blown head gasket it could leak water into a cyl but the you just get the head milled and put on a new gasket.

As long as the 8th digit of the donor vehicle is an S it can be swapped out. My donor engine came from an 03 grand cherokee. That if you are talking about a 4.0 6 cylinder

The pinhole is in the block where the coolant is stored...I asked the mechanic if there was a simpler fix and he said there is but if he was going to put his name on the work the correct way to do it would be an engine swap...and yes I trust this person.
