Eh, i left mud on for almost two months and you just have to be careful (especially since I have black paint). The bottom of my tub below the door is all scratched from getting in and out now and there are a few scratches on the hood from putting a small tool box there. All that dirt scrapes the crap out of the paint. And yes it did dull the paint a bit.

It shouldn't harm much, I'd say make sure you clean it thoroughly tho when you do because you will have a harder time once its caked on there good... and yea wax will make it pretty again... unless you think the mud makes it pretty lol (I DO)

Once a year I use the Meguire's (sp??) clay bar and then wax it. The paint usually comes out lookin a little shiner for a while.

i use nu finish once a year, that stuff is good. if you're gonna leave that crap on there, at least use someting like that for protection.

oh yeah, and it lasts. i had a porsche with a sun faded red rear end, made the whole thing look like new. but more importantly is the lasting paint protection.
