Discount tire vs discount tire..

Hey everyone, i was looking at new tires, and I saw these two websites.... Are they the same company? Same name, but one is discounttires.com and another is discounttire.com. I know one is the well known one, but what one! Thanks!

http://discounttires.com/product_det...=&prodID=10048

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...yp=Truck%2FSUV

anyone know!

Discount Tires is definitely a different company from Discount Tire. Personally, I'm a big fan of Discount Tire. They really take care of their customers and they don't give you any problem with their tire warranty as many other dealers will. Not to mention they can match or beat any price you can bring to them.

And one note on their warranty... I bought a set of first generation (before kevlar was introduced) Goodyear MT/Rs from Express Tire, a big Goodyear dealership here in San Diego. I bought their optional "All Hazards" warranty with the MT/Rs. Several months later, I cut a sidewall all the way through and took it back to get it replaced under the All Hazards warranty I had purchased. Instead of a replacement tire, I got nothing but grief with them saying my tire had been abused and their "All Hazards" warranty wouldn't cover it. I raised Hell with them for four days before a 3rd level manager finally overrode the lower managers and gave me a replacement tire.

Discount Tire gives no grief or arguments, they just replace it... no questions asked.

I could not agree more. The service you get at Discount Tire is the very best out there, and their tire replacement policy is worth every penny. I've used it on a few occasions and they never batted an eye or asked a single question.

My friend Mark once simultaneously cut the sidewall of two of his tires (he ran over the same obstacle with both right side tires); they grabbed two more off the shelf, installed them on his Jeep and sent him on his way with a smile.

Claims made here regarding the Discount Tire warranty are quite exaggerated. They might very well honor the warranty as written, but it is not written as a "no questions asked" policy. (If it was, there would be no "Conditions and Exclusions.") Read the policy as written, not as interpreted and translated here.

Get ahold of "Discount Tire" here on the forums. They'll take care of you.
