Exclamation Distributor Cap Squeak?

Alright. So I've had my Jeep for a month or two now, and it has developed a squeak. It's strange because it isn't consistent. Some times it's there at start up, sometimes it's there when the engine heats up, or sometimes it just comes and goes. I have a 2002 TJ SE 2.5 4 cyl manual transmission. No real mods to the drivetrain. At first i heard squeak, so i figure the belt. Took it off, cleaned the pullys and put a new belt on. No help. So I was poking around with an automotive stethoscope and pinpointed the noise. It is definitely coming from the distributor cap. So yesterday, I replaced my plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and sprayed some WD-40 down in the rotors bearings, no luck. I don't know where to go anymore without replacing the whole distributor and i dont want to do that. By the way, the squeak is really high pitched, and it follows the revs of the motor. It dissapears at about 2000. Someone please help
