Do I need a body lift?

I want to put the RE 3.5" super flex lift on my Jeep and run 33X12.5's. Do I need a body lift? I have noticed that most people that run a 3.5" lift also have a 1" body lift. What is the point of a body lift and why do so many people have them?

More tire clearance and allows for you to do a "tummy tuck" when ever you want if you don't do it at the same time

Let me also add that if you don't have a rubi you will have to do a T Case drop or SYE.. Also with bigger tires you will want to regear

It's a skid plate that adds ground clearance from the stock underbody skid that you might have

You don't need a body lift with the RE 3.5, it runs close to 4". so 33's should be fine.

I plan to go with the SYE.

I am thinking that I will just go with the lift at first. I am afraid of adding the body lift and having too much space between the tire and the bottom of the fender and it looking funny. Eventually I want to upgrade to a set of Gen Right tube fenders so I think that will take care of any clearance issues I might encounter?
