Do I need door surrounds?

Ok I know this is a rookie question but I haven't been able to get an answer. I bought my 2000 TJ Sahara with a hard top. Promptly took the top off and replaced with Bestop bikini. Now there's about a 2" gap between the top of the full steel doors and the edge of the bikini. Can I install door surrounds to fill the gap? Or are they only for half doors? Any other suggestions?

Yes, sort of. The thing to do is install the door surrounds, then connect the bikini to the surrounds themselves. At that point there will be no gap anymore.

That's how I roll:

X2 or better yet, just take the doors off. Problem solved.
