The door surrounds are for the plastic hold down tabs in the top, two each side over the door and then the curved part that follows the door line. You will also need the two tabs that go on either side of the tailgate, they are for the horizontal bar that is in the bottom of the back window to snap into. Be aware there are two sizes of that bar, 97TJ's and YJ's had a thinner one so you need tabs that will match the bar you get. Oh, and that bar does not come with the top either, it's a seperate $90 item from the dealer.
If you are adding this yourself you will also need the tabs that go on the roll cage upright behind the front seats, holds some of the brackets so the top and go up and down, get those and the bolts if you are boneyard shopping.
Best bet is find a soft top TJ and look it over close.
Make sure the surrounds you get also have the knobs. I'm also assuming your roll bar padding has the slots cut for this stuff, I assume so but I have never had a factory hard top new myself. Don't even try to put that soft top up in cold weather. I took mine down and off last Christmas to bring a plantable 8ft tree home by removing the back seat and using it like a pickup truck, got funny looks but putting that top back up afterwards was darn near impossible, ended up at my buddies heated shop and let it all warm up for 2 hours.

I picked up an extra TJ factory soft top frame for $50 at a swap meet, set of surrounds for $25 and hit the boneyard, found a wrecked TJ and got the little stuff like those rearwindow brackets and assorted part for like $5.
