Do ya need a laugh?

I purchased these the other day from the bay. My daughter is complaining that there is nothing to grab when getting into the jeep. So i've been keeping an eye out for some handles. I saw that these had only 3 minutes left of the auction and there were no bids. So i put a bid in and won-total cost with shipping=$6.45, Yeah im cheap. But these things are even WAY MORE cheaper then me. I left a message to the guy, saying there's no way for me to leave a positive feedback for this product. LOL. All they are is two plastic handles from somthing and velcro!

Wow, he has a lot of nerve selling that POS handle.

Give the link to them, I'll give him a little feedback on it.

oh man, you got duped too? a few years ago i ordered those same handles. the picture that the guy posted was only the side view it didn't actually show what the really looked like. i paid $12.00 an was pissed when i got them. i should have known that for $12 i wasn't getting anything good. they are the biggest ripoff, but it was my own fault for blindly buying them. bet those POS things only cost him $0.50. that is quite a racket he has there.

Here's one on Quadratec that works well. Mastercraft 6833PR4 - 3" MasterCraft® Grab Handles - Quadratec

You can find them cheaper though like from Group Buy at 4x4GroupBuy.com

They are a very good source for them and many other Jeep parts.

Im glad im not alone. Yeah i'd be more pissed off if i paid 12 for them. I'm still a little miffed about spending the 6.45, but i'll get over it.

You didn't spend a lot of money and if she has a good sense of humor she will laugh at you on this for years to come.

Holy Crud those are funny. I could make better handles with a roll of electrical tape, zip ties, and some bailing wire.

(Mastercraft are what I have, love them)

You might have even had more stability using thick zip ties!
Ahh well.....at least you didn't loose very much on them.

Here are some more that are pretty good.
Desert Rat :: Grab Handles
I think the ones Jerry posted are nicer, but these are a bit cheaper.

Personally, I don't understand the point of them.
People are always bitch'n at me as well for something to grab onto,
either while getting in, or riding.
I just tell them to grab onto to f-in rollbar.
I mean Jeeeeze, it only sits about a couple inches higher than the handles would.
And there's plenty of support THERE!

I think it has somthing to do with- they can wrap there hand around it (makes it feel secure) the rollbar your hand can't go totally around and theres a feeling you may slip.

Rollbar handles are nice for people standing on your rocker guard to hang on to as they provide outside ballast to prevent a flop when you're way off camber.

Tiny, don't you have the Mastercraft boarding ladder?

The mastercrafts were out of stock when I ordered mine, I have these instead, pretty similar, a little more padding for my big paw to grab.

http://www.quadratec.com/products/14018_7X_PG.htm

BTW, they come in PAIRS! Ask me how I know this to be true!

Would you give me the specs on those. I think I'll 'build' some for myself now that I see how they are made. I'll build a few extras for $25 ea.
