So I had a problem with the straps on my Rampage (sail cloth) frame-less top breaking. I bought it April 22 2013.
Well it turns out Rampage receive defective straps from the supplier during that time. Heat causes them to break down and break.
I called 1-800-241-7219 and spoke with a man named Larry he said e-mail him a copy of my receipt or order confirmation from amazon so I did.
Well after a short time he sent me an e-mail stating they are replacing the top free of charged with free shipping and all I needed to do was cut the old top in half and e-mail him a photo after I installed the top.
Rampage warranty is 2 years for non-sail cloth and 3 years for sail cloth.
I receive my new top yesterday. In total it took about a week.:beerdrinking:
I had the same problem with all the straps on a bunch of different types of Chinese tops I was given by Steelhorse (now out of business) to try out. Every one of the straps turned to dust/disintegrated when I pulled on them after they were about a year old. Never had that problem on any of Bestop's products.
Would you guys recommend against a rampage top since you've had so many problems with them? I'm thinking about getting one. I like the looks of it more than other tops so that's the main reason I want it... But the price making me want it is well! (Not trying to steal the thread just curious. Hope that's okay!)
Got to talk to Larry yesterday, new top will be on its way asap. He told me he only has 21 left after mine and they are going fast. It will be a few months be for more are in stock.

to me
Thom,
Thank you for the information. I have set up order number 352401 for you. This is a full replacement top, this is being sent to you under our Destroy in Field (DIF) policy. You will need to remove the top from your vehicle and cut the top in half. Then send me a photo so I can close out the case. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for your continued support of Rampage Products!
I purchased one June 14'. Not sure if it may be one of the tops with defected material, but do the straps start to change color at first? What should I keep an eye out for?
