Does a 6.5" speaker fit into the sound bar without modifications?

Hi there!

I am planning on getting some Infinity 6012i to replace the stock speakers in the sound bar of a 2000 Sahara. I have read before that someone thought that 6.5" should fit in the sound bar, but has anybody here actually tried it? Don't want to modify a lot on the sound bar, looking for a quick and easy install...

Any experience anyone?

I'm not sure if we have the same sound pods, but 6 1/2's fit just fine in mine. I have a 2004 Unlimited, hope this helps.

Keepin the peace.

The difference between sport and combat is that in combat you bury the one who comes in second.

Did the search before I posted, but most threads are about how to fit some 6x9's in there or other mods. In one of the threads somebody said that 6.5" should fit, but nobody said that they actually did do it. Sorry if you are bothered by my question...

2004 Unlimited: Thanks for your feedback.
