Dome light door switches... Absent?

Just bought a 2000 tj. The dome light didn't come on the first night I had it, and took a look, and the post type switches in the doorframe are not there. I'm guessing this is a more popular mod with the doors off community? Is there a way to get a set and put them back in for the rest of the year?

In the glove box fuse panel I believe it's the number 4 fuse. Once you have the door posts back in like factory, you can pull the fuse or like I did, take 2 spade clips wire in a switch and a fuse and mount it under the dash or in glove box Hope this helps

4wd.com sells a switch for this comes with wires diagram and it mounts flush underneath on the passenger side in an existing drew hole. Like 25 bucks if u don't want to make one yourself.

You could do that, yes... or you could leave everything as it is and simply rotate the headlight plunger to turn on the interior light whenever you actually need it.

Just sayin'.

Oh. I didn't play with the knob enough. I hadn't twisted it past the point where it stops. Haha like a true noobie...

Don't sweat it. We were all new at one point or another.

They have them at Advance Auto. Hopefully the plug is still stuck somewhere behind the hole.
