Don't Let This Happen To You!

I recently had to haul my toolbox in my Jeep and forgot to re-lock the tailgate after unloading the box. The next night I parked in a parking lot and when I returned I thought "why is my driver side window rolled down?" I discovered the answer to my question when I looked inside and my glove box and center console were wide open along with the rear window and tailgate. I don't keep many valuables in my vehicles, so the only thing missing was the controller for my Warn 9.5 ti. I didn't know there was much of a market for winch controllers. They must not have been hungry, because they left my bag of cheesburgers I had just bought for my for my family. These guys work very quick, they were in, out, and gone in minutes. I found it easy to forget to lock the rear of the Jeep and just wanted to pass the reminder to everyone.

+1 I put everything out of sight and leave it unlocked. Ironically though, I lock it when I have the top down. Not quite sure why I do that.

hahahaha- I always have mine locked but the truck unlocked. IF somebody slashes my windows well they better pray the cops get to them first.

You and I think alot alike. We work too hard for our rigs to look good to have someone think that they should be on the recieving end of the "spread the wealth" idea. The police are going to look at the parking lot cameras, but I'm not holding my breath. I really don't give a shit about losing my winch controller, (since I haven't priced one yet, that's subject to change), but I want to see these pieces of whale shit prosecuted!!!

No you don't you want that piece of shit put infront of your rig so you can crawl up his ass with your tire then back down him or her. . Police don't do enough scaring to my liking. They should scare the shit outta them to make them not do it again not ohh your going to jail for 30 days. I want eye for an eye!

That's funny, but probably effective, given these idiot's mentality. I had my winch controller in my center console...out of sight, but not locked. I kinda have to keep that in the Jeep somewhere, 'cause what good's the winch without it?

Yeah, stay tuned, just thinking of parking it there again as bait, and watching from across the street from my pickup. Might even have the ol' 44 Mag handy.

I usually keep my Jeep unlocked. Over the summer a couple months ago I noticed from my bedroom window a couple of kids were looking inside and actually opening the Jeep up. I a professional paintball player part time decided to take on of my paintball guns out for a little target shooting. I'm a much better shot thanks to being in the U.S Air Force.

I rolled outside and said hey get away from there. Of course the youngster from the projects took off. I of course was in for the challenge and started chasing a couple of them down firing fiercly upon them. It was hilarious.

Of course for every action there's always an equal or negative reaction. Those kids went home and told their parents I guess and someone called the police. I had a difficult time explaining why I chased down a couple of kids from the next door projects with a paintball gun. Luckily enough, I was not arrested and everything evened out.

Lesson learned, I should practice more paintball snap shots.

this is a horrible, but great thread! first, my hood rats stole my reciever hitch. then they stole my sony xplod and matching speakers from the sound bar. then they beat down my neighbors kid (9yrs. old!)and stole his ps2. i can thank the chitty housing market cuz the scum keeps comming closer outta detroit and now on my street. when i bought my house 4 yrs ago i paid $145k now, they go for $60k! so now im surrounded by "rats" yes, im a bit of a hot head. but I do now keep a loaded mosberg 500A and will plug the s.o.b's given the chance, and if i can weasel a way around an unjustified homicide. even thought about buying a "dirty" gun to plant on the lil' fkers. ohh six garages have been gutted in my "hood" since this summer.

My buddy lives in Ipsilanti (sp?) and he's scared out of his mind. Apparently some of the locals are getting real wrestless up there and he's going out to buy himself an AR15. I personally don't know how he intends to use it, he couldn't hit the side of barn if he was inside of it.

lol! funny. <--the barn thing... and yes "Y"psilanti is getting pretty rough. south and west of me. im on the famous "8"mile. you ask me, it aint so rough. just punks w/ no respect. the ar15 is a bit over kill but hey, sprayin' that thing up in the air should make the roaches scatter for cover...but back to this mans thread.:in summer if it aint gonna rain, you can definatly find mine no top no doors and wide open. less damage from theft.cuz there aint nothing to steal. i've set everything to come out at nite. even my CB has quick disco to the red and black. a nice homebrewed kill switch also exists on my ride. in my future is a glovebox safe/and underhood safe.<---to help store my handgun (C.C.W) but thats only for when i cant take my firearm into where im going.
