door bolts

the nuts that hold my doors on are shot and i had to cut one off the other day cause it wouldnt come off... do i have to order some more from a jeep dealer or are there some better options... maybe ones made outta rubber or something... thanks for the help

Do you mean the nut on the bottom of the hinge pins? I took those off and cut off the threads second day I had the jeep.

I've had mine off since I bought my Jeep in June, and it makes it easier to remove the doors, and after a while, you'll forget you ever had bolts.

I never knew mine had nuts..........or threads. I guess that was a customization the previous owner did.

I just had some rubber screw protectors laying around, so I just stuck those on the end of the bolts to cover the threads.







If you want to get REAL serious about securing your doors, maybe you could incorporate a system like this one:

That's exactly what that means. I don't use my door nuts anymore, and they haven't fallen off.

yeah i gotta make sure my camera is working... i wouldnt want ya'll getting confused on the details

right now my door bolts are chillin in a plastic bag on my desk prolly never to go back

haha jk man i just took the nuts off (they're in the bag) the bolts are safely still attached to the doors
