the bolts holding the strap on the door side has sheared off.

any one had to repair this got any advice or hints.

seems I need to remove the interior panel to get
to the bolt parts still remaining in the metal door skin....

yeah, the top bolt in my door sheered off ... I'm thinking about drilling it out ... but I also somehow lost the strap.

I bought cheap door limiting straps from ebay - they are not bad quality - as for the bolt - drill it out and tap it a size bigger and put in a new bolt

Similar problem, except it appears both are sheared off and the bracket is missing altogher (driver's door, bought it this way a month or so ago). Silly thing, I cannot find the stupid bracket for the door. I found straps no problem, but they don't come with the door bracked. Ordered the door bracket from 4wd and what arrived is the brackets that mount on the body itself, not on the door! What a PITA!

a good fix is to get some bolts a a nut and a washer and put it behind so they done rip right off the door
