Door hinge painting question

I took my doors off for the first time this weekend, and I plan on touching up the chips and rust starting on the half of the hinges that are mounted to the Jeep body. I see that there is some sort of pressed in metal washer on the tops of the hinges. Can I pull these out so I can sand and paint the hinge properly? Are they reusable, or would I need to get new ones from the dealer?

They are basically fiber sleeves/bushings that keep the pins tight in the hinge. They wear out after awhile. They should just pop out and you should be able to pick up some new ones at your dealer.
