Door light fuse

Had the doors open to do some work and pulled number 4 fuse to turn off lights. The interior lights stayed on. Why?

Did this yesterday. Hold the door buttons, pull the fuse, release the buttons. Voila! Gonna need a helper but just for a moment.

How long did you wait? If they are on when you pull the fuse I think you have to wait for the timer to turn them off, otherwise as stated above.

They will stay on for quite some time. 5 minutes or more maybe.

If you have a newer TJ, they stay on for a bit as a "help" I guess so you can find the key hole. If they are on after you pull the fuse, start the jeep and they should turn off. The might also turn on for 30 seconds or so after you shut the jeep off.

I pulled mine a while ago, now want to put it back but it seems to have disappeared from the glove box. Is it a 10 amp? I don't have the owner's manual.

It's a 10 amp, I pulled the fuse the first time I took the doors off and it's been hanging out with all my other fuses since.

I did this today - It only took a few seconds for mine to turn off.

Thanks. I had it taped to the inside of the glove box, but it went missing. That's what I get for letting my 3 and 5 year old use the Jeep as a climbing toy in the driveway!
