I was skeptical (imagine that ) but after seeing the video, that is indeed a great idea. I wouldn't use it for the lighter half doors but it'd be a good way to maneuver and carry the heavier full doors.
So glad I saw this. Mine are a little bit of a pain because of my garvin rack. The rack mounts kind of get it the way when lifting the door. This will certainly help and I so happen to have one in the garage. Don't know where it came from and have never used it. Must have been delivered from the jeep God's.
Yeah I got my lifter quite a few years ago during my house remodel. One day while taking my doors off I spotted it out of the corner of my eye. I gave it a try and it worked real well.
I've always used it since. I don't have any problem keeping the doors balanced at all.
I have carried a lot of plywood with it, so I do have some experience using it.
Like I said I was surprised to find someone else using one, and especially a video about it.
So I thought I'd share here.
LOL, that's a buddy that I wheel with! I'm pretty sure the local Home Depots are scratching their heads wondering why they're selling so many of them now, lol.
