Door Straps

The latch that holds the door limiting strap has broken. The screw pulled out of the interior of the Jeep. It looked like it had happened before and the previous owner tried to fix it. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Mine had the broken screw still inside so an easy out and slightly larger new screw fixed it.

Once you fix it, give the limiting strap a couple of twists before slipping it back on the hook. That prevents thr door from swinging so far out, reducing the strain on the strap and reducing door dings.
