door surrounds

im new @ this just bought my 1st 2000 tj it came with a hardtop and i just bought a soft used b4 i install do i need door surrounds or can i install with out and will it leak with out them ty

I don't have the OEM top, but without the door surrounds I can't see how you could secure the side windows around the door. They would only be attached at the top and bottom but not the side.

I ended up buying a Supertop NX, because that came with all the HW you are missing when you only have a hard top.

Yes, you will need door surrounds. It will 100% definitely leak without them. If you don't have them already, you'll also need the windshield header, soft top frame, mounting brackets on the roll bar, and the rear window bar & brackets.

it did come with all that just no surrounds i guess i have to buy door surrounds ty

If it is the rampage frameless one you will need the OEM style door surrounds. My friend has one.
