drive shaft hitting muffler

So the other day I started haveing an extremely loud metal on metal noise coming from my jeep. When I looked under after it had cooled down it looked like the drive shaft was hitting the muffler would that make this sound? How do I fix?

Is it the front U-joint hitting the pipe or the rear? My front one was hitting it to i took it to the shop and had them cut a section out and re-weld it closer together so the pipe was further from the u joint.

I just noticed this issue with mine after my last outing. My front drive shaft is making contact with the exhaust pipe right at the u joint. It is hitting the highest and forward most of the two pipes that run down the drivers side of the engine. It only happens when the jeep is flexing a little bit. Any fix for this?

i just took mine to a muffler shop today. they said they can probably move it over for about 40 bucks. much easier then messing around with it for days on my own. worth the 40 bucks to me haha. next project changing callipers on passenger side front brakes!

My front driveshaft at the u joint put a whole in that upper pipe right where it runs next to the oil pan. The cheapest of three bids from local muffler shops was $122. He was able to cut out the section and weld in some new pipe slightly closer to the oil pan, but said it was hard to move it much closer due to the number of bends in such a short space.
