silverton area. moab.highway 12 Utah. down to grand canyon.over to coast.101 up tru Oregon. Yellowstone and glacier.black hills and badlands.so much to see so little time.get a national parks pass your going to need it.

looks like your comming through my neck of the woods. Badlands area is great to see but your not going to want to camp there. but once you get in the black hills take you pick tons of great camping area's. things to see in the black hills is mt. rushmore, crazy horse, custer state park, spearfish canyon is a must ect ect. if you want a peaceful trip make sure you dont come on the first week of AUG. you will be right in the middle of sturgis bike week. Prices of everything goes up by 5x , and there is solid bikes on every road in the hills. best of luck if you want to see some of the back country I go every chance i can get

Ub: It's about 6 or 7 hours from where I live. Same state, it's just tough to get there from here.

There's a fantastic web site with trail details here. Check it out for Colorado and Utah trails.

i understand. my home on Long island is 8 hrs from here in Buffalo same state NY. I am definitely going to hit those towns.
