dropping skid plate

changing fluids yesterday and got to transfer case and found my air compressor for the lockers right in front of drain hole.guess I have to drop the skid plate? is this right no short cut for rubicon. any helpful hints would be appreciated.

The locker pumps are held down by 2 bolts I think, easier to remove them than the shovel.

there are 4 bolts but if you loosen the passenger side 2 bolts and wedge a spark plug socket in there it raises it so you can reach the drain plug.the hardest part was getting about five pounds of mud and rocks cleaned out.
