Dual CB Antennas

Does anyone have any pics of dual cb antennas. I was really thinking about setting up a couple short 2.5' ones by the front window brackets.

That doesn't work well on a Jeep. The co-phased antennas you are asking about and often seen on big trucks work only because they can be spaced far enough apart for it to help with forward and reverse range. A Jeep is too narrow for that to work. However, that co-phased setup also ruins the omni-directionality of a CB antenna which means its range off to the side is reduced.

Personally, I would not even consider it.

Yep,bad idea.I talked with a fellow who owns a cb shop at I-80 truckstop and he told me that if I did put duals on my zr-2 chevy, use a very cheap radio cause it won't last long transmitting. He told me to make one a dummy if I had to have 2.Walcotts cb.Email them and ask Fredo.

Just like a harley, personal touches is what sets each vehicle apart from each other. You might get some ribbing but who cares, take it in stride and do what you want with YOUR jeep.I personally like the looks of a dual set up,thats why I asked the big boys about it yrs ago.

Yeah, that doesn't look bad at all...what about removing your am/fm antenna and replacing it with your dummy antenna (making your dummy antenna at least somewhat functional)? I'm pretty sure they make cable adapters for that sorta thing.

Go to a truck stop, that's the first place I'd go if I was going to do something like this....

I've got 2 4' antennas one on the left and one on the right. The left one is a cb antenna, black with a red tip and the one on the right is a 2 meter antenna cut and tuned to both 2 meters and a local vhf work frequency. It just looks like they are co phased but they are not.
