Dumb wheel question

Still shopping around for my lift and tires. As I've mentioned, I'm going to put on a 3.25" lift and 33x12.5 tires on stock 15" rims. Today's quote included wheel spacers for an additional $200 - something the other two didn't mention. I got the feeling when talking to this place that they wanted to sell me what they wanted, not what I wanted (for example - wanted a quote on BFG AT KO's - sales guy said (with a snort of haughty derision) "why do you want THAT tire?" Well - because I'm comparing apples to apples, sir.)

Anyway, rambling over - are the wheel spacers necessary? Are the other two shops forgetting them in the quote, or is this other shop trying to nickel and dime me to death?

id go with the spacers or get new rims with smaller backspacing. I have 33x12.5 on 15" stocks and they rub after one complete turn of the steering wheel. My new rims are in the mail as we speak

Sometimes even the Seals need a medic

If your rims are 15x8" with 33x12.5" tires the spacers are needed. Without them the inside of the sidewall will rub the coil spring perch. If you put 33x10.5" tires on then the spacers aren't needed.
