Duratrac Got Screwed

Here we go. Just removed my spare last week and luckily I carry tire repair gear. I removed the screw and plugged the hole. Notice how very close it is to the sidewall. Zoiks! The last photo is of the last two items causing tire plugs.

that sucks.. I would never ever trust that plug btw, it's on a way too flexible part of the tire.. good that you got yourself out of bind though

Right with you buddy. I've had 2 KM2's get worked by some sort of metal. One was a bolt and another was a steel rod through the sidewall. Bought 2 new tires, plugged the others -now I have 2 spares. Worked out somewhat OK I guess.

I think that fat gooey plug will be OK. If not I'll eat crow and post pics of the blow out. But you're right, it's on the edge of safe plugging.
