Dye a soft top

Can you dye or paint a kaki soft top black?

im sure you can, just make sure you clean it real well first. most of the paint prep chemicals will probably eat the stiches on the soft top. just use extreme caution.

keep in mind a gallon of "good" dye is about 215. you can get some of the cheaper(rugged ridge) tops for around 350.

Most any auto parts store has an assortment of aerosol vinyl dye colors meant for vinyl upholstery. Your soft top is made from vinyl so I would expect it to do a very good job on it as well. I use to use black vinyl dye on my vinyl seats and it always did a very good job.
