easy question

this is a really easy question that i dont know
if i have 30 inch tires with rims on my stock TJ, can i get 31 inch tires and keep the rims? or would i have to buy new rims?

As long as the 31" tires are around the same width and of course same inside diameter you shouldn't have any issues.

31s will fit. I put a 33x12.5x15 on my stock rim as a trail spare.

they can be wider. On a stock rim I think you can fit either a 10.5 or 11.5" wide tire (w/ some steering stop adj.???)

heres the only pic i got of my jeep
(had the top on cause it was snowing outside)
oh and give me a break about the tires haha, i know theres no tread! I'm gettin new ones!!

Rather, those look to me like aftermarket rims? Do you by chance know what the backspacing is on them? Assuming the are aftermarket and are 15x8's then you can really put 31x10.50 or 31x11.50 with no issues.

sorry i dont know what the backspacing is
I'm assuming the tires are 30's (i'm to lazy to go measure)
next to my friends wrangler, his looks a little bigger and he has 31's
