eaton lsd versus factory unit

I thinking about having an lsd unit installed, the installed who is very reputable stated that the eaton unit is 50 x's better. Their both clutch type units but other than that there's no comparison. He added it is the perfect unit unless your gonna do some heavy duty off roading which I'm not.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks

The BEST limited slip on the market today is the Detroit TrueTrac. The TrueTrac is gear driven so there are no clutches to wear. Additionally, the TrueTrac does NOT require any additives to the gear oil - unlike clutch based LSDs, like the one you're considering.

I run dual TrueTracs and I highly recommend them for a Jeep that doesn't rock crawl, lift tires often, is daily driven and experiences snow and ice during the winter.

X2 100% on what IslandTJ said. And to emphasize what he said already, the Truetrac is not clutch-based... it is gear based which is a LOT better and won't wear out like a clutch pack will. I used to run front and rear Truetracs and for the conditions IslandTJ described, they are ideal. Not so for big rocks but for more level trails and especially slick icy road use, the Truetrac is superb.
